Glasgow Warriors travel to Sale Sharks in their opening European Rugby Champions Cup pool game. Also in Pool 1 are Clermont, Stade Toulousain, Saracens and Sharks. Time for our match prediction.

Sale Sharks are seventh in PREM Rugby and have lost their last three league games. Last weekend saw them lead Exeter Chiefs by 13 points at the break but ended up losing that home game by a single point.
Before that (their fourth league defeat of the season), they’d been beaten by Saracens and Leicester Tigers with 101 points scored against them. Last season saw Sale lose to Stade Toulousain in the last 16.
Glasgow Warriors are fifth in the United Rugby Championship, winning four of their six league games this season with two losses. Their most recent game saw them lose 23-0 at Scarlets. Two of their three away league fixtures this season have been lost with a win at Ospreys.
Last season they reached the quarter-finals of the European Rugby Champions Cup. They finished second in their pool and that included beating Sale 38-19 at home. We tip them to win this game.
