22 is the magic number for Serena Williams. A win here on Saturday will see her win her 22nd Grand Slam title and equal the total won by Steffi Graf. Two more would then equal the all-time record of 24 held by Margaret Court. Trouble is Serena has been stuck on 21 for a while now. Two Grand Slam tournaments this year have seen her lose in both finals and in Australia it was her opponent here, Angelique Kerber who defeated her. Williams has been in her usual dominant form over the past fortnight and was frightening in her semi-final win over Elena Vesnina who managed to win just two games. Angelique Kerber is in pretty good form too and has yet to drop a set so far in this tournament. That includes a 6-4 6-4 win over Venus Williams in the semi-final. If she can get off to a good start then this could well be a three-set classic. Previous meetings between the two have seen Williams win five out of seven but it was Kerber who was victorious in their last meeting. That was the three-set match that gave Kerber her Australian Open title earlier this year. The pair have never met on this surface before but Williams can get that 22nd title here but it's unlikely to be an easy win,
