Rebeka Masarova vs Olivia Gadecki Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Rome

Rebeka Masarova, seeded second and unseeded Olivia Gadecki will mark their debuts at the Italian Open with a first-ever meeting when they clash in the first round of qualifying on Monday. The match will be played on an outdoor clay court and will see the winner head to the final round of qualifying to take on either 22nd seed Leolia Jeanjean or the unseeded Dayana Yastremska. Masarova arrives in Rome after a strong showing at the recently concluded Madrid Open where she got to the third round on her debut and will hope to carry that momentum here. The Spaniard is having an amazing season so far which has seen her make it to her first tour-level final with the Auckland Classic at the start of the campaign. Though she lost to Cori Gauff in straight sets she has not regressed and just last month reached another final, the Oeiras Ladies Open in the ITF Circuit. Her success has seen her move all the way up to number 67 in the live ranking which is a new career high for her.

Olivia Gadecki has also set a new personal high with her performances this season. Though she is currently ranked at number 149 in the live rank, Gadecki has been as high as 144th which is a record for her. The Australian began the season outside the top 200. Gadecki has played largely in the ITF Circuit and just like Masarova, has played multiple finals this season, three to be exact, in Canberra, Burnie and Launceston but unfortunately for her, she lost all of them. Gadecki has won 23 of the 35 matches she has played so far with 10 of those coming on clay and this should have her well-prepared for this clash with Masarova.
