The final curtain of Saturday’s La Liga action will come from Donostia-San Sebastian where Real Sociedad will be playing host to Real Madrid. La Real will resume the domestic league competition in 12th place while Los Blancos are second. Let’s get into the match prediction.

Real Sociedad had another solid campaign in 2023-24, securing a top-six finish which earned them a spot in this season's Europa League which will get underway at the end of this month.

However, Erreala have not got the league season off to the best start, taking just four points from the first four matches, which came via a slender 1-0 win over Espanyol and an underwhelming stalemate against Getafe before the international break.

Notably, the two defeats La Real conceded this term both came here at Reale Arena and saw the hosts concede twice in each match. 

Meanwhile, Real Madrid seemed to be a little out of sorts over the first four weeks of the new season as well, posting a record two wins and two draws over that period, which sees them trailing arch-rivals Barcelona by four points. 

Concerningly, Los Merengues dropped points in matches that they were massively fancied to win, both by a 1-1 scoreline on the road to Mallorca and most recently Real Betis. 

The defending champions have now drawn their last three La Liga away games but are beaten in their last 17. During that unbeaten run, they also overcame this opponent 1-0 at this venue last season.
