Quentin Halys vs Sumit Nagal Prediction & Betting Tips - Stockholm Open

Two unseeded players meet in the first round of the hard court Stockholm Open. Quentin Halys takes on Sumit Nagal with the winner facing third seed Grigor Dimitrov in the next round. Here's our match prediction.

Quentin Halys is the world number 95 and reached the final of a hard court Challenger Tour event in his last tournament. The Frenchman was playing in his second final of the month on that lower tour having previously made the final in Rennes.

Halys has also reached one ATP Tour final in 2024 but that was on clay in Gstaad. On hard courts, the 27-year-old is yet to win two successive matches in the main draw of an ATP Tour event but did win three qualifiers to reach round one of the US Open.

There's been one previous meeting between these two players. That took place in 2019 and was won by Nagal in straight sets but it was played in a Challenger Tour clay court tournament.

Sumit Nagal is ranked 78th in the latest list and achieved a career-high of 68th three months ago. He could really do with a win here as the Indian number one has lost his last seven matches, five of them on hard courts.

Nagal hasn't won a match since late July and his best results this year have come on clay courts since reaching a hard court Challenger Tour final in India nine months ago. We tip Halys to win this in straight sets.
