PSG will welcome struggling Metz in their next French Ligue 1 assignment hoping to get back to winning ways. The hosts head into this round 17 fixture top of the standings while Metz are down in 14th. PSG haven’t won in their last two matches which have all ended in a 1-1 share of the spoils. Returning to domestic action after their trip to Germany in the Champions League, PSG dropped two points away to Lille over the weekend. A positive for them though is that the chasing pack failed to capitalize on this and they are now five points clear. The Parisiens had won eight league matches in a row before the setback. Five of those wins have come at home where they currently haven’t lost in eight outings. PSG have won 13 straight games against Metz with the last meeting seeing them win 5-0.

Metz have lost three straight games. This poor return has seen them drop to within three points of the relegation zone. Laszlo Boloni’s men haven’t scored in this three-game skid and were defeated 1-0 at home by Montpellier last time out. Les Grenats have performed better this season away from home and 10 of their 16 points have been earned on the road. Metz have conceded 24 goals and this is the fourth-worst tally in the division.
