Entering the final three games of the League Phase, few would have expected PSG to reach the final, as they had only won one, drawn one, and lost three of their first five matches.
However, they rattled off three wins in a row to finish 15th in the league stage and demolished Brest 10-0 in the knockout phase Playoffs before knocking Liverpool out on penalties in the last 16.
A stunning 5-4 aggregate victory over Aston Villa followed in the quarter-final, while a 3-1 triumph over Arsenal in the semis secured their place in their second UCL final ever.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan came through the new-look League Phase with flying colours, posting six wins, one draw and just one loss, while conceding only a single goal to finish in fourth place.
I Nerazzurri ousted Feyenoord 4-1 on aggregate in the round of 16 and held Bayern Munich to a 2-2 draw in the quarter-final second leg to progress 4-3 on aggregate after winning the first match 2-1.
However, Inter saved their best for the semis, where they came back from 6-5 down to beat Barcelona 7-6 on aggregate in extra time, in one of the greatest European ties in recent memory.
