Portsmouth host Sunderland in a battle between to unbeaten Championship teams. However, while Pompey have drawn their three league matches so far, Sunderland have won every league match to sit proudly at the top of the table. Will our prediction back the Black Cats for a fourth win, or can Pompey chime in with a timely victory?

After securing promotion from League One last season, John Mousinho has overseen an unbeaten start in the league, albeit Pompey are yet to pick up a win. Three successive draws away to Leeds (3-3), at home to Luton (0-0), and their most recent game away to Middlesbrough (2-2) see Portsmouth lie 14th in the current Championship table.

Including friendlies, Portsmouth have drawn four and lost two of their last six. They will face a stern test to hold onto their unbeaten league record when they host current leaders Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.

New manager Regis Le Bris will be thrilled with Sunderland's start to the season. A 2-0 away win at Cardiff was followed by a hugely impressive 4-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday. However, arguably their best performance of the season came in their last game, a 1-0 home win over a Burnley side that was unbeaten heading into the game at the Stadium of Light. 

Eliezer Mayenda Dossou and Luke O’Nien have been instrumental for the Black Cats, each scoring twice in the league this season. However, the team will miss the influence of winger Jack Clarke, who recently joined Premier League side Ipswich.
