World number 127 Pierre Herbert and the qualifier Quentin Halys will meet next at the Moselle Open. They will battle in the second round on Wednesday and here’s our preview and prediction of the match.
Pierre Herbert is playing in the main draw as a lucky loser after losing his final qualifier. He, however, put all that behind him in the first round against sixth seed Pedro Martinez, winning in three sets.
Now he is seeking to win back-to-back main draw matches at a tour event for the first time this season. Herbert, who has compiled a 33-29 record and won one challenger title, has dropped to 142nd in the live ranking.
