AEK Athens are in a strong position coming here and they can make it even better with a win in this game. Having not had European football commitments lately, they should be well rested for this encounter. They are on a four-game unbeaten run, winning each of the last three matches and scoring at least twice in the last four games. Twice in their last three matches, they kept clean sheets and have the aura of the favorites coming into this game. Unlike PAOK, who failed to score in four of their last 10 matches, AEK have actually scored in each of their last 17 outings. Playing away from home will not give AEK a lot of jitters; they have only lost once in their last 13 Super League 1 matches on the road. That was against a very formidable opponent – Panathinaikos. AEK have beaten PAOK four times in their last six meetings, and that too will give them the confidence that they can claim more points in this encounter.
