Seventh seed Novak Djokovic will face off with the unseeded Cameron Norrie as he continues his quest for another US Open title. Their third meeting of the season is also their third at a major and will come in the third round. Read on to find our prediction for this match.

Novak Djokovic suffered a shock third-round exit in this major last season. A four-time champion at Flushing Meadows, this was the Serb’s earliest exit since 2006. This will most certainly be on the back of his mind as he faces Norrie for the seventh time.

Djokovic, who defeated the qualifier Zachary Svajda 3-1 in the last round, has never lost against Norrie. The 38-year-old is seeking to become only the fourth athlete to win five US Open championships in the Open Era. Djokovic has improved to sixth in the live ranking.

Aside from seeking a first-ever win against Djokovic, Cameron Norrie is also seeking to make week two for only the second time here. The Brit, who made the fourth round in 2022, has lost twice in the third round.

This year, however, he has had considerable success at Grand Slam level, which should fuel him. Norrie has earned a fourth-round finish at Roland Garros and a quarter-final run on home soil at Wimbledon.

The 30-year-old outfought Francisco Comesana in the second round, winning their first-ever meeting in four sets.
