Round one of the ABN AMRO Open sees wld card Nicolai Budkov Kjaer face unseeded Jaume Munar. Both players are making their debuts in this indoor hard court tournament being played in Rotterdam. Time for our match prediction.
Round two will see the winner face either fifth seed Karen Khachanov or unseeded Jesper de Jong.
Nicolai Budkov Kjaer has won four of his nine matches. Last week saw him playing in the Davis Cup for Norway against Great Britain. He lost to Cameron Norrie and Jacob Fearnley but did take a set against the latter. The 19-year-old won four Challenger Tour titles last year, two on indoor hard courts.
Kjaer is a career-high 132nd in the live rankings (97 behind Munar) and is yet to reach round two of an ATP Tour event this year.
Jaume Munar has made an inconsistent start to 2026 with three wins and four defeats. The 28-year-old Spaniard lost both of his matches in the United Cup. Better form was shown with a run to the last eight in Adelaide, losing to eventual winner Tomas Machac.
In the Australian Open, Munar took five sets to beat Dalibor Svrcina in round one and then lost to Casper Ruud.
