Newcastle have gone six league and cup games without a win but did well to avoid a fifth straight defeat on Tuesday. They trailed Manchester United 2-0 and 3-2 before grabbing a late equalizer to earn a valuable point. They are still in the bottom three and really do need to get a win sooner rather than later. The signing of Jonjo Shelvey is a good one and should certainly improve their midfield. West Ham are now unbeaten in their last nine league and cup games and that's taken them up to fifth in the table. The return of key players has really got them going again and there's definitely a chance that the Olympic Stadium might see European football when West Ham move there next season. Whether that'll be the Champions League I'm not sure but a Europa League place is definitely on. They did well to win 3-1 at Bournemouth on Tuesday, especially after going 1-0 down in the first half. Newcastle played well at times against Man Utd but did also concede three goals. The way West Ham fought back at Bournemouth and the defensive problems Newcastle lead me to thinking West Ham can get another away win.
