New Zealand will square off with South Africa in this 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup quarter-final on Sunday. The winner of this match will battle either Canada or Australia in the semi-finals. So far, New Zealand have left no stone unturned in asserting their dominance in women's rugby. The Black Ferns have now emerged as strong favorites to retain the World Cup title after a stellar outing in Pool C. They rounded off their pool-stage campaign with an impressive 40-0 shutout against Ireland to cap off a perfect run in the tournament.

Alan Bunting's side also finished with the second-highest points difference (129) in the pool stages after England, scoring 156 points and conceding just 27. They won all of their group matches by 40+ points and are unbeaten in their last seven matches, winning six.

South Africa suffered a heavy 57-10 defeat to France in their final Pool D fixture. However, two straight wins against Brazil and Italy were enough to secure their spot in the competition's knockout stage for the first time.
