We head to Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, where the New York Knicks will be playing host to the LA Clippers in the NBA. The Knicks (23-13) are third in the Eastern Conference standings, while the Clippers (13-22) are 12th in the West. Let’s get into the match prediction.

The euphoria of winning the NBA Cup has evaporated for the New York Knicks, as they are now on a four-game losing streak after getting hammered 121-90 by the Pistons on Monday. 

Jalen Brunson has carried the Knicks again this season, but support around him has been lacking of late. The absences of Josh Hart and Landry Shamet have also exposed the team’s lack of depth. 

The Knicks need major improvement from Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby, who scored just 11 points combined in the loss to the Pistons, if they are to end their losing streak here. 

Meanwhile, the LA Clippers bounced back from their blowout loss to the Celtics with a 103-102 victory over the Warriors on Monday and have now won seven of their last eight games. 

Against the Warriors, the Clippers returned to their strong suit - solid defence - and got the job done without James Harden. Kawhi Leonard finished with 24 points, while Ivica Zubac made an excellent return, recording a double-double. 

LA are still only 4-13 on the road this season, but this isn’t the longest trip, and they did sweep the regular-season series against this opponent last year, 2-0.
