The improving New Orleans Pelicans will seek a fifth successive victory when they welcome the Dallas Mavericks next in the NBA. This is their third meeting of the season. The Pelicans have jumped up to 14th in the West standings and are four games behind the Mavericks in 11th. Read on to find our prediction for this match.

The Pelicans are in their best stretch of form this season and will hope to ride this wave for as long as they can. James Borrego’s men have been able to claw themselves out of last place in the Western Conference with a four-game winning streak.

They have won against the Bulls, Blazers, Rockets, and Pacers. Defeating the Rockets in OT shows they can be a match for anybody. The Pels defeated the Mavs in the first meeting of the season away from home.

The Mavericks have also won in this series. They secured victory at home last time the two met, winning a close one 118-115. Jason Kidd’s men, though they have lacked consistency, have fared much better than their hosts.

The Mavs are 11-18 and are 1.5 games off the play-in places. They have secured six of their total victories in the last nine outings.

Dallas, which has lost its last three away games, is coming off a 121-114 setback in Philadelphia. Cooper Flagg is listed as questionable for this game, and so too is Klay Thompson.
