It has been quite a year for Nathan Aspinall on the European Tour, as he enters the 2025 European Darts Championship as the number one seed, while last year he was seeded 31st.
The Asp won the 2025 European Darts Trophy in March, the European Darts Open title in June, and comes into this competition off the back of winning the German Darts Championship last week.
Aspinall is now riding a six-match win streak and has only lost two of his last 15 across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Rob Cross entered the 2024 European Darts Championship as the number seven seed, but he had a nervous wait this year and only managed to book his spot in the competition last week.
Voltage kicked off the year strongly by beating Stephen Bunting to the Dutch Darts Masters final, but has not had too many notable results since then. Still, he is a two-time champion in this competition.
Cross was eliminated in round one of the German Darts Championship last week 6-1 by Cameron Menzies, and is 5-5 in his last 10 matches.
