Second seed Aryna Sabalenka begins her 2024 French Open campaign with a first-round showdown against the unseeded Erika Andreeva. Aryna Sabalenka is having another dominating season and is a huge favourite to win this year’s title. Last year she recorded her best finish here by making it through to the semi-finals and is defending over 700 points. The world number two has won 25 of 32 matches this season with 11 of those victories coming in 14 outings on clay. She has contested four finals and defended her title at the Australian Open for her only title so far. Sabalenka has made the final in her last two tournaments, Madrid and Rome. The 26-year-old has won her first-round tie at this major in her last five appearances.
