The NBA Western Conference Finals between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder heads to the Target Center for Game 3 on Saturday night. OKC beat the Timberwolves in both their home games and lead the series 2-0. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

After only losing two games in the first two rounds of the Playoffs, the Minnesota Timberwolves are now trailing by two for the first time this postseason following another routine 118-103 loss on Thursday. 

There was one key similarity between Games 1 and 2, and that was the Timberwolves' defence were unable to cope with OKC in both third quarters, losing by 14 points in each. 

One positive for Minnesota was that Anthony Edwards looked much better on Thursday, finishing with 32 points, but Julius Randle had a poor night with just six points.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder will be feeling very good about themselves heading to Minnesota following back-to-back double-digit victories. 

The reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put up another 38 points, while Jalen Williams deserves a mention, having notched up a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. 

OKC’s defence, particularly their double-big of Isaiah Hartenstein and Chet Holmgren, did an excellent job of shutting down Edwards’ support, which is something they may try doing again in this match.
