Middlesbrough are the league leaders in the Championship two points clear of Hull City. More importantly they're six clear of Derby in third and with a game in hand. Promotion back to the Premier League is looking good for them and their home record is a key reason. So far this season they have won ten of their 13 home league games and will be glad they don't have to play Bristol City again this season. City are the only side to win a league game at Middlesbrough this season and then went and beat them on their own home ground last weekend. That ended a run of nine league games without defeat and they'll be looking to bounce back with another home win here. Notts Forest are in 12th place and with there being 10 points between them and the play-offs and 11 clear of the bottom three then they really are a mid-table side. They won well at home to bottom of the table Bolton Wanderers last weekend and that extended their unbeaten run to ten league games. Six of those games have been drawn and away from home they have drawn their last four but gone nine games without a win and only scored five goals in those games. Middlesbrough will be keen to get back in winning ways and should be able to get a home win here.
