The Miami Heat will welcome the in-form Cleveland Cavaliers for the two teams’ first meeting of the 2025/26 NBA season. They currently sit seventh in the Eastern Conference, a game behind the Cavs, who are in second place. Read on for our prediction of this match.

The Heat have won their last two games and have improved to six wins from 10 outings. Erik Spoelstra’s men, who are in top offensive form, outlasted the Blazers at home 136-131.

The win saw them extend their unbeaten run at home to four games. Norman Powell is having a strong impact in his first season with Miami and is the only player averaging at least 20 points, with 23.3.

The Cavaliers are in terrific form and will arrive for this match confident of ending the Heat’s unbeaten start at home. Kenny Atkinson’s men, who have won seven of 10 games, are on a four-match winning streak.

They have averaged over 130 points in this stretch, with the highlight of these being the 148-114 dominance in Washington. The Cavs defeated the Bulls at home 128-122 last time out.

Darius Garland, who recently returned from injury, did not play against Chicago as he gradually eases back in. Donovan Mitchell is averaging 30 points and is one of only five players doing so at the moment.
