McCartney Kessler vs Sorana Cirstea Prediction & Betting Tips - ATX Open

McCartney Kessler is one of only two seeds left in the ATX Open. The fifth seed is up against unseeded Sorana Cirstea in the last eight of this outdoor hard court tournament. Who will reach the semi-final? Read our match prediction.

Waiting in the last four to take on the winner will be either Greet Minnen or Caroline Dolehide, both of whom are unseeded. 

Kessler is the world number 56 but up five places in the live rankings. The American has already won one WTA outdoor hard court tournament this year with success in Hobart, New Zealand. This is her first quarter-final since that January tournament.

Wins this week have come against lucky loser Victorija Golubic and qualifier Cristina Bucsa. Three sets were needed to beat Bucsa after the first was lost. Kessler is now 30th in the Live WTA Race.

Sorana Cirstea struggled for form in the early part of this year. Last week though saw her reach the last eight in Dubai with wins over Daria Kasatkina and Emma Navarro. Her return to form has continued this week with victories over Laura Siegemund and second seed Diana Shnaider.

Three sets were needed in both those wins, though Cirstea has never been behind. We go for over 19.5 games to be played.
