Matteo Arnaldi vs Arthur Cazaux Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Barcelona

Matteo Arnaldi begins his outdoor clay court Barcelona Open campaign with a match against fellow unseeded player Arthur Cazaux. There'll be seeded opposition for the winner with eighth seed Sebastian Baez being the scheduled opponent. Arnaldi will want to do better than in Monte Carlo where he was beaten in the first round by Sumit Nagal. That was his second straight loss and he's currently 40th in the live rankings. It's not going so well in the Live ATP Race that is based on ranking points earned this year. Arnaldi is down at 58th on that list and would be a lot lower but for his quarterfinal in Brisbane three months ago. Only in Miami and Brisbane has he managed to win at least two matches in a tournament.

Arthur Cazaux also comes into this match looking for better form. He's 75th in the live rankings but 42nd in the ATP Race. He did get to the last 16 of the outdoor hard court tournament played in Dubai and that earned him plenty of ranking points. Cazaux leads Arnaldi 1-0 in previous meetings but that was played five years ago in the juniors event at Roland Garros. The Frenchman is yet to get past round one in the senior French Open. He withdrew from Monte Carlo last week and comes into this match having lost his last two and four of the last five. We tip Arnaldi to get the win.
