Fourth seed Marie Bouzkova and third seed Emma Navarro will battle for this year’s Nottingham Open title. Navarro has a 3-0 record in tour finals, and our prediction backs her in this first-ever meeting with Bouzkova.

Bouzkova has advanced to her second tour final of the year and hopes things go as smoothly as in Bogota back in April. This also marks her first-ever final on grass.

The Czech star, who does not have a convincing record in championship matches on tour, defeated Karolina Pliskova in the semis. That win over a former Nottingham champion nudged her four places to 24th in the live ranking.

Bouzkova is having a strong grass campaign, winning five of six such fixtures, and hasn’t dropped a set this week.

Emma Navarro is also through to her second final of the season and first ever on grass. This year’s Strasbourg champion, Navarro, will be keen to keep her impeccable record in championship matches intact.

The American has a 100% record in tour finals, winning the three times she has been in a tournament decider.

To advance here, the former world number eight outlasted in-form qualifier Viktorija Golubic, posting straight sets for the second successive match.

Navarro has recovered well from a slow start to the year and has registered 10 of her 15 total victories in the last 12 fixtures.
