Manchester United haven't got a great recent record in the FA Cup so might be keen to do well this season. It was 2004 when United last won the Cup and perhaps a good run in this competition might satisfy some of their frustrated fans. United will obviously leave a fair few players out of this game, especially with a midweek Premier League game against Newcastle on Tuesday. Such a result and then more disappointing performances at Newcastle and Liverpool next week will only intensify the calls for their Dutch manager to be replaced. Sheffield United are no strangers to causing a few cup upsets and reached the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup last season. They've beaten a few Premier League teams in recent seasons and currently lie just outside the play-off places in League One. Sheffield United are unbeaten in their last four away games but have just one win in the last ten on the road. They slumped to a 3-2 loss against Peterborough last Saturday. It might be worth seeing just how many changes van Gaal makes before deciding just how much to bet on this game. Man Utd should be able to get the win though and progress to the fourth round.
