by Ian John in Women's Super League Predictions
There is a huge game on the Women's Super League on Sunday afternoon as the top two in the league table clash as Manchester United face Arsenal in a classic showdown. With both teams having made strong starts, this game between the Red Devils and Gunners should be a classic and here's our prediction for the match.
A game between these two doesn't need any hyping up, but the fixture is given added impetus by both teams' dynamic starts to the season. Both teams have won their two games comfortably, both scoring nine goals, and while Arsenal have conceded two goals, United have let in just the one. As such, the Red Devils top the table by one goal from Arsenal.
Both these teams, along with Manchester City, are expected to be amongst the main competition for defending champions Chelsea this season, and both will certainly have their eyes on landing some silverware over the course of the campaign.
As such, this key match between the two will be a great indicator of how likely either team is to be a serious title contender this season.

Manchester United WFC - Arsenal: Form Analysis
It is fair to say that both these teams come into this fixture with a high degree of confidence following their excellent starts to the current Women's Super League campaign.
Manchester United began with a 4-0 thrashing of Leicester City at home, with French superstar Melvine Malard catching the eye by scoring two second-half goals in that game. They were undone, however, by Brann in the Champions League Third Round Qualifier, losing 1-0 in the first leg in Norway.
The following weekend, they travelled to face London City Lionesses and came away with a hugely impressive 5-1 victory against the newly-promoted team that had seen significant investment over the summer.
Melvine Malard caught the eye again with another two goals.
While Maya Le Tissier, Jayde Yuk Fun Riviere and Jess Park also found the scoresheet. They warmed up for this game with a second-leg 3-0 win over Brann in midweek to qualify for the Champions League (3-1 on aggregate).
Arsenal's form has been almost equally impressive though. They began the season at home to London City Lionesses securing a comfortable 4-1 win, despite going a goal down in the first half of the game. Summer signing Olivia Smith scored their opener with Chloe Kelly, Stena Blackstenius and Frida Maanum also scoring.
Next up was a trip across London to face West Ham where they secured a 5-1 win. Again they went 1-0 down before coming back strongly thanks to goals from Maanum, Blackstenius, Caitlin Foord and a double from Alessia Russo.

Manchester United WFC & Arsenal Squad Analysis
Coming into the fixture, Manchester United manager Marc Skinner will be delighted with how his team has begun the season, and a few changes are expected to the team for the game with Arsenal at the weekend.
Elisabeth Terland will continue as the lone striker, supported by in-form four-goal hero Melvine Malard, England star Ella Toon, and new signing Jess Park.
One possible change could be at left-back with the summer signing from Barcelona, Fridolina Rolfo, coming into the team for compatriot Anna Sandberg.
Arsenal manager Renee Slegers is likely to keep faith with the team that has started the season so brightly. That means Katie McCabe may continue to play a more defensive left-back role.
Maria Caldentay and Kim Little will anchor the Gunners' midfield.
In front of that busy duo, Caitlin Foorde, Frida Maanum, and Beth Mead will likely start behind the sole striker, Alessia Russo.

Our Manchester United WFC vs Arsenal Prediction
Our main prediction for the Manchester United Women vs. Arsenal Women Women's Super League match is: A Draw.
Both these teams have made a great start to the new WSL campaign and after making some strengthening signings this summer, both look set to give Chelsea and Manchester City a real run for the title. Arsenal have the edge in recent games, but only when playing at home. Away from home, the Gunners have lost one and drawn two of the last three. As such the draw looks the smart result to back here.
Manchester United WFC vs Arsenal - Other Interesting Predictions
Melvine Malard (Manchester United) to score at any time
Our secondary prediction for this match is for Melvine Malard (Manchester United) to score at any time.
Having already notched four league goals so far in this campaign, French winger Malard is certainly United's most in-form goalscorer. Her runs from deep are difficult to track and she has profited from that several times already this season. Not only that but her influence on the team has been likened to the impact Eric Cantona had on the men's team back in the 1990s by manager Marc Skinner.
