Manchester City came up against a determined Everton team on Wednesday and were held to a 0-0 draw at home. They had to thank a late Liverpool goal to keep the gap between them and Arsenal to three points. City have had some high scoring wins at home this season so perhaps the law of averages indicates that there might be a few goals in this game. The two sides have already met twice this season and City have won both. A late goal gave them a 1-0 win in the league then they hammered Palace 5-1 in the Capital One Cup. Crystal Palace have had a good season so far but their chances of getting European football have taken some big blows recently but are still only three points away from the top six. They have just two points from their last four league games and have lost the last two. Losing 3-0 at home to Chelsea was bad enough but going down in defeat to an Aston Villa side that hadn't won a league game since August was a nightmare. Their attack is really struggling at present in the Premier League with Palace failing to score in the last four league games. A couple of good wins would get them back into contention but their recent form doesn't inspire much confidence in them being able to get anything from a trip to Manchester City.
