Maccabi Tel-Aviv will play host to BC Olympiakos Piraeus at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall on matchday five of the EuroLeague regular season. Maccabi Tel-Aviv are second-to-last in the league standings, while Olympiakos are in tenth place. Here's our match prediction. 

Maccabi Tel-Aviv are underperforming in the 2025-26 EuroLeague regular season. In fact, the team had an underwhelming start to the competition.

Oded Kattash's men lost their first two games against Anadolu Efes (85-78) and Paris (101-94). They then managed to end that losing run with a 103-90 away victory against Hapoel Tel-Aviv. 

However, the Yellows returned to reality as their hopes of recording a second consecutive win were thwarted in a 92-71 defeat against Barcelona. They come into this match with a 1-3 record in their last four matches.

BC Olympiakos Piraeus failed to assert their dominance against Anadolu Efes in their recent EuroLeague outing. The visitors were favorites to come away with a win, but that didn't happen as they succumbed to a narrow 82-78 home defeat.

In light of that result, the Reds saw their three-match winning streak across all competitions come to an end. Sandwiched between those wins was a home victory over Dubai.

Georgios Bartzokas' men will be confident of returning to winning ways because of their convincing display away from home. They've won four of their last five matches in unfamiliar territory.
