The penultimate quarter-final at the 2025 World Series of Darts finals will see Luke Littler face off against Ross Smith at the AFAS Live on Sunday. The winner of this match between the Nuke and Smudger will face either Gerwyn Price or Chris Dobey in the semis. Let’s get into the match prediction.
Luke Littler is well on course to defend his World Series of Darts crown and add another Major title to the six he has already clinched in 2025.
The Nuke overcame Simon Whitlock 6-4 in the first round before posting the same scoreline against Jonny Clayton last night. He pinned five 180s against Clayton and won the match despite having a lower three-dart average.
Littler has now won 24 of his last 26 matches across all competitions dating back to the Poland Darts Masters in July.
Meanwhile, Ross Smith has been one of the surprise packages in this year’s WSOD finals as he has reached the last eight in just his second appearance in this competition.
Smudger was favoured to beat Jonny Tata in his opening match and did so, but he defied the odds in round two to overcome veteran Dave Chisnall 6-4 with an excellent performance.
Smith pinned five maximums against Chizzy and averaged 99.29. He has now won eight of his last 100 matches across all competitions.

Our Luke Littler vs Ross Smith Prediction
Ross Smith has been the surprise package to this point of the competition, but with all due respect to Jonny Tata and Dave Chisnall, Luke Littler represents a much tougher assignment for Smudger.
Littler has already secured a handful of Major titles this year, and while he has won both his matches in this competition with little trouble, you get the feeling that we have yet to see the Nuke firing on all cylinders. Our Luke Littler vs Ross Smith prediction is Luke Littler -1.5.
