The second of the NBA’s opening night doubleheader sees Los Angeles hosting Minnesota at Crypto.com Arena. Let’s take a closer look at the prediction for this match between the Lakers and the Timberwolves!
The offseason storyline for the Lakers was mainly centered around their acquisition of LeBron James’ son, Bronny.
Many fans will be clamoring to see the 39-year-old James and his 20-year-old son on the court at the same time. There have been three other instances of a father-son duo playing on the same team in major professional sports, with the most high profile being the Griffeys in the MLB.
Last season, LA finished with a 47-35 record and eventually earned the seventh-seed after the play-in tournament. They were bounced in the first round by the then defending champion Denver Nuggets in five games.
The Timberwolves made headlines in the offseason as well as they dealt superstar Karl-Anthony Towns to the New York Knicks in exchange for Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo.
