Paris Saint-Germain have a chance to be crowned Ligue 1 champions as they come up against a struggling Lorient side. The Stade du Moustoir-Yves Allainmat will host this match on Wednesday. The hosts are in the relegation zone with 26 points from 29 matches, while the visitors are at the at the top with 66 points. Lorient are two points behind the relegation play-off spot and three behind the automatic safety zone. A win here could see them leap out of the bottom three, but on recent form, that looks like a far-fetched option. The hosts were beaten 3-0 by Nice last time out, which was their fourth defeat in five league games. The only exception was a 2-2 draw with Monaco, and interestingly, they drew with PSG in the reverse fixture too, albeit a 0-0 result.

PSG will be crowned Champions for the 12th time if they win here and Monaco fail to win against Lille. In the league, the visitors have won three of their last four matches, but four draws from the last seven indicate they haven’t quite closed out matches. Crucially, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in four of those five matches, raising doubts over their ability on this trip. While that looks encouraging for the hosts, PSG’s away record douses those spirits. The visitors have kept three clean sheets in their last four away league games and look set to target another one here.
