Tenth takes on ninth in the League One table as Lincoln City host Stockport County this weekend. Our prediction is that this will be a very closely fought match between two similar opponents. But will it be the Imps or County that come out on top here, or is the draw the option to consider?
Michael Skubala’s Lincoln team were in the top six last weekend, but two successive defeats, a 3-1 home defeat to Birmingham City and then a 3-0 away loss to Crawley Town has seen them plummet to tenth in the table.
That’s due to the very tight nature of the League One table, which sees three points between Exeter in fifth and Bristol Rovers in 15th.
They’ll seek a return to winning ways by hosting Dave Challinor’s Stockport County. The Hatters have earned promotion twice in the past two seasons, and started this season very well too. But their home form has let them down a little of late.
Drawn games have been County’s issue, with six draws in their last eight games. They drew all their last three - 0-0 at home with Wigan, 1-1 draw Charlton and then in midweek a 1-1 home draw against Northampton.

Stockport are the sixth best away team in League One, so the visitors may well expect to get something from this game.
