Second seed Felix Auger-Aliassime has no seeded players between him and the Halle Open semi-finals. Round two of this grass court tournament sees him take on unseeded Learner Tien. The Canadian is fourth in the live rankings and our prediction is he will win this match.
Felix Auger-Aliassime was a semi-finalist in this tournament five years ago and made the last eight in the following year. He will want to avoid a second successive round two exit in this tournament. Last week saw him lose to the eventual Libema Open champion Kamil Majchrzak.
He received a bye into the second round of this ATP 500 tournament.
The winner will face either Frances Tiafoe or Sho Shimabukuro in the next round.
Learner Tien is 18th in the live rankings but that is 14 places below his opponent. The American is playing in the main draw in Halle for the first time. His only other time in this tournament was last year when he was beaten in the qualifying rounds.
His best form has come on other surfaces and he recently won the Geneva clay court tournament. Round one saw him defeat German wild card Max Schoenhaus in straight sets. He will hope for another good run on grass after reaching the Mallorca Open quarter-finals last year.
