Round 11 of the Austrian Bundesliga continues this Sunday when LASK takes on Sturm Graz at the Raiffeisen Arena. Die Laskler are in seventh position with 13 points while Die Schwoazn lead the league with 22 points after 10 matches. Here is our match prediction.
The Black and Whites suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss to Olimpija Ljubljana this past week in the UEFA Conference League, where an inability to convert chances led to their demise.
That result would end a six-match unbeaten run in which they had secured four wins and drew just twice in both the domestic league and European competition.
Athletiker will be back on their home patch this week where they have lost three of their last five in the league, though they did win the most recent couple.
Meanwhile, the Blacks would share a similar fate to their upcoming opponents in their UEFA Champions League matchup this past week when they had lost 2-0 to Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.
That was their second loss in their last four matches across all competitions, with two convincing domestic wins in between two poor European performances.
With three wins from their last four away league games, Sturm Graz will enter this match with some confidence as they look to increase their lead at the top of the league table.
