Saski Baskonia will entertain LDLC ASVEL in their final home game of this season’s EuroLeague campaign. The two teams, who sit bumper to bumper in the standings, have already been eliminated from postseason contention. Read on for our prediction of this match. 

Baskonia are seeking to return to winning ways and also sign off for the season at Fernando Buesa Arena on a high. The Spanish side is back home after a two-game road trip that ended without a win. 

Playing in Turkey, Pablo Laso’s men lost to Efes and Fenerbahce. Baskonia, who have compiled a 13-19 record, sit in 14th place and edge ASVEL on points differential.

With two rounds of play remaining to conclude the season, Baskonia and ASVEL cannot finish higher than 13th.

ASVEL won the reverse game on matchday four. Though this was back in October and much has changed, they will be confident of another win given their upturn in fortunes.

The French side, playing its final away tie of the campaign, is on a two-match winning run. Both wins were at home against top-of-the-table Olympiacos and Zalgiris.

After defeating the Greek giants by nine points, Pierric Poupet’s men outdueled Zalgiris 88-79. ASVEL are seeking only their fourth road win of the season.
