Kiki Bertens has won both of her matches in the WTA Elite Trophy. That's seen her reach the semi-finals where she faces Zheng Saisai. It's been a round-robin so far with four groups of three determining the four semi-finalists. Bertens has beaten Donna Vekic and Dayana Yastremska, both in straight sets with only 15 games lost. It continues the good form of the world number 10 who recently reached the last four of the tournament held in Beijing. Earlier in the year she won the Madrid Open and the St Petersburg tournament.

Zheng Saisai hasn't had such a smooth passage to the last four. She lost to Petra Martic in straight sets but beat Madison Keys for the loss of six games. That saw her through on games difference. The world number 40 has only reached one quarter final since winning the San Jose tournament at the end of July. Bertens has won their only previous meeting and is far better form than her opponent. Go for Bertens to win by two sets to nil.
