Aryna Sabaleka takes on Kiki Bertens in the final of the WTA Elite Trophy. She has won all three of her matches in this tournament. In the round-robin group, Sabalenka had wins over Elise Mertens (in three sets) and Maria Sakkari in straight sets. That took her into a semi-final against Karolina Muchova and the fourth seed won that match without dropping a set. Sabalenka is chasing her second WTA title in the space of a couple of months after winning the Wuhan tournament in September.

Kiki Bertens is the top seed for this tournament but had a major struggle in her semi-final against Zheng Saisai. She lost the first set 6-2 but fought back to win the remaining couple of sets. She beat Donna Vekic and Dayana Yastremska in her round-robin matches, both in straight sets. Bertens has already won tournaments in Madrid and St Petersburg this year and recently made it to the last four of the Beijing tournament. The Belgian has won three of her four matches against Sabalenka but the momentum is with her opponent. Sabalenka beat Bertens on the way to that in in Wuhan. Go for this match to go to three sets.
