A spot in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup knockouts is up for grabs for the Italian side Juventus against Moroccan club Wydad, who are on the brink of elimination. This will be matchday two of Group G, to be played at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Sunday, and our prediction is for Old Lady to get a handicap win over the Red Castle.
Juve are top of the standings with three points, and a win here will guarantee a place in the knockouts if Manchester City avoid defeat against Al Ain. Wydad are third in the standings.
The Italians were sensational against Al Ain, winning 5-0 to post a third consecutive victory. These games saw the Old Lady score ten goals in total, so the scoring form is surely on the up.
After a below-par Serie A season, this has been an impressive start for Juventus, who are making their debut in this competition.
Wydad were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City in their first match, making it a fourth defeat in their last five matches, winning just once. Each of those losses came without scoring, and goals remain a problem for the Moroccans.
Another defeat here will more than likely confirm their elimination, although Wydad were never favourites to reach the knockouts.
