Second seed Felix Auger-Aliassime will hope to win his third ATP Tour hard court title of the year. To do so, the Canadian must defeat third-seeded Jiri Lehecka in the final of the European Open. Here's our match prediction.
Auger-Aliassime is playing in his fourth final of the year and is 12th in the live rankings. In the ATP Live Race, he's in ninth place, one adrift of qualifying for the end-of-season Tour Finals. A win here will take him just 340 places below eighth-placed Lorenzo Musetti.
To reach this final, the Canadian has had a three-set win over Damir Dzumhur and straight sets victories over Eliot Spizzirri and Raphael Collignon. He's played four tie-breaks and a side bet on one here could well win.
The pair are 1-1 in previous meetings with Lehecka winning the one played on a hard court. The Czech is playing in his third ATP Tour final of the year with one hard court title won in Brisbane nine months ago.
Lehecka is 17th in the live rankings and one place higher in the ATP Race. He's made it to this final by beating Gilles-Arnaud Bailly, Benjamin Bonzi (in three sets) and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard 7-6 7-6.
We tip Auger-Aliassime to win the title.
