Jenson Brooksby vs Ugo Humbert Prediction & Betting Tips - Basel, Switzerland, Qualifying

Jenson Brooksby bids to get back into winning ways in the first round of the Swiss Indoor Championships. The American takes on Ugo Humbert with the winner taking on either seventh seed Alex de Minaur or Holger Rune in the second round. Brooksby was as high as 33rd in the rankings earlier this year but has slipped down to 50th in the latest list. His last two matches have been lost with defeats in Florence and then Antwerp. Last month saw him get to the last four in Seoul but he didn't beat anyone ranked in the top 120. This is the first meeting between the pair.

Ugo Humbert is the world number 103 but was ranked 25th in June of last year. He's been inconsistent on the ATP Tour this year, winning eight of his 28 matches. The Frenchman  had some success on the Challenger Tour in recent months. That includes reaching the semi-finals in Saint Tropez and winning the Rennes title last month. Humbert had to win two qualifying matches to make the main draw of this tournament. The second of those was against the top seed in qualifying, Aslan Karatsev and he had to come from behind to win that match. A tight match looks likely but it's Humbert who showed good form when beating Karatsev and could get the better of the out-of-form Brooksby.
