World No. 121 Qinwen Zheng is the lowest-ranked player left at the 2026 US Open. She faces her biggest test against eighth-ranked Iga Świątek in the fourth round today. Iga Świątek holds a dominant 7–1 record against Qinwen Zheng and hasn't dropped a set at the tournament, hence our prediction backing the Polish No. 1. 

Iga Świątek began her US Open campaign with a 2–0 victory (6–2, 6–3) over China’s Xiyu Wang and then eased past Argentine and World No. 448 Nadia Podoroska with another straight-set victory in the second round. 

On Saturday, the former World No. 1 was stretched to the brink in a grueling third-round clash against Marie Bouzkova before prevailing 7–6(7–3), 7–6(7–3). That result marked her 13th win in 14 matches, all on hard courts.

Qinwen Zheng has come from behind to win all three of her matches in the US Open main draw. She rallied from a five-game deficit in the opening set to defeat World No. 24 Madison Keys 1–6, 7–6(7–3), 7–5 in the third round on Saturday. 

However, her biggest test yet awaits today against the in-form World No. 8 Świątek. Zheng is 1–7 overall against Świątek and has lost all five of their meetings on hard courts, with her last three defeats coming in straight sets.
