Iga Swiatek and Jasmine Paolini met three times in 2024 alone, and they are set for a first meeting of 2025 in the Bad Homburg semi-final. This will be the sixth meeting between the two, with the winner to meet either Linda Noskova or Jessica Pegula in the final. Read on for our prediction.

Swiatek is on to her second grass-court semi-final. The first was also here at Bad Homburg, and here she will be up for her first title of the season. She cleared Ekaterina Alexandrova in straight sets in the quarter-finals.

The last time she reached this stage here, Swiatek was forced to retire with injury.

Paolini will be looking to condemn the world No. 8 to another trophyless event on the tour. However, history doesn’t sit well in her plans. The Italian has never beaten Swiatek before.

She is coming from a straight-sets win over Beatriz Haddad Maia in the quarter-finals. The world No. 4 has picked up well after her first event on grass – Berlin – ended in a defeat in straight sets at the hands of Ons Jabeur.

This match will mark her third career semi-final match on grass. She reached the last four in Wimbledon and Eastbourne last season.
