The final team to book their spot in the second round of the NBA Playoffs semi-final will be decided on Sunday night when the Houston Rockets host the Golden State Warriors in Game 7. The Rockets beat the Warriors in the last two games to level the series at 3-3. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Houston Rockets pulled themselves back from the verge of elimination at 3-1 down with back-to-back wins, with the most recent ending in a 115-107 away victory on Friday. 

Houston’s standout performer in the last match was Fred VanVleet, who put up 29 points, eight assists and eight rebounds, while Steven Adams and Alperen Sengun combined for 19 points. 

The Rockets are now the team with the momentum and have the home advantage going into the series decider, where they could become only the 14th team in NBA history to complete a comeback from 3-1 down in the Playoffs. 

Standing in the Rockets’ way, though, is the Golden State Warriors, who have not been defeated in the first round of the NBA Playoffs since the 2013-14 season. 

However, Golden State have it all to do here after squandering their 3-1 series lead with two very poor performances in their last two games, particularly in defence, where they allowed 131 and 115 points, respectively. 

While Jimmy Butler and Stephen Curry were impressive in the last match, as a team, the Warriors attempted 49 threes and converted just 15, while committing 16 turnovers.
