Harold Mayot vs Pedro Cachin Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Barcelona

Qualifier Harold Mayot takes on unseeded Pedro Cachin the the first round of the Barcelona Open. Whoever wins this outdoor clay court match will face the 12th seeded Cameron Norrie in round two of this ATP 500 event. Mayot is currently 116th in the live rankings and had to go through the qualifying rounds to get into the main draw. He took on Nikolas Sanchez Izquierdo in his first match and had to come from behind after losing the first set on a tie-break. Smoother progress was achieved in the final qualifiying round as he beat Andrea Vavassori in straight sets. Mayot has had his struggles on hard courts this year but did recently get to the final of a Challenger Tour clay court tournament. 

Pedro Cachin is 88th in the live rankings and is having a nightmare year so far. He's played nine matches on the ATP Tour and lost them all. 2024 began with three hard court tournaments and he only won one set in those matches. He switched surfaces for the South American clay court season but that didn't bring about much improvement. Cachin was beaten in all four of his matches but did at least win a set in each of them. Losses at Indian Wells and Miami followed and his European clay court season started with a loss to Andrea Vavassori (who Mayot has just beaten) in Estoril. We tip Mayot to get the win here.
