Ireland will open their 2025 Summer Tour taking on Georgia on Saturday. The European rugby giants will aim to secure victory in their first match after a disappointing campaign in the 2025 Six Nations. Here is our prediction for the match.

Georgia enters this match off the back of a triumphant campaign in the Rugby Europe Championship. The Lelos recorded a perfect run in the competition, defeating Spain 46-28 in the final for a record-extending 17th title.

Notably, the Rugby Europe Championship final victory over Spain saw Georgia rack up their sixth straight victory. Prior to the tournament, they had lost their last four matches against higher-ranked teams, but mostly by competitive margins.

Ireland will enter this match off the back of a disappointing Six Nations campaign. Having won the 2024 edition of the tournament, they failed to defend the title and finished below the top two for the first time since 2021. 

However, they have won seven of their last eight matches, five of those by single digits, and their last four away victories have been by less than 15 points. Hence, it will not be a stroll in the park for the 16-time Six Nations champions as they take on an in-form Georgia on Saturday on Georgian soil.
