14th seed and two-time world champion Gary Anderson is having his best run in the PDC World Championships since 2022. He faces tenth seed Gian van Veen for a place in Saturday's final. Read our match prediction below.
The winner will take on either defending champion Luke Littler or 20th-seeded Ryan Searle.
Anderson won this tournament in 2015 and 2016 and has twice been the losing finalist since then. His last major televised PDC final was back in 2021 but he's been in good form at Ally Pally, though he has lost at least two sets in three of his five matches.
2025 didn't see him in great form in major tournaments with his best being a quarter-final in the World Grand Prix.
Before this tournament, Gian van Veen had never made it past the second round of this tournament. Last year saw him win the European Championship and also land the PDC World Youth title for the second successive year.
The Dutchman has reached the semi-finals for the loss of just five sets, losing one in each of his matches. That included Thursday's quarter-final in which he beat the second seed Luke Humphries 5-1.
