Francisco Cerundolo vs Alexander Zverev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Mutua Madrid Open

Two-time Madrid Masters champion Alexander Zverev takes on 21st seed Francisco Cerundolo for a place in the last eight. The German is seeded fourth but a place lower in the overall and live rankings. In the LIve ATP Race, he's in fourth position even though he's yet to win a tournament in 2024. His two Madrid titles came in 2018 and 2021 and another final was reached two years ago. So far in this season's European clay court tour he's made it to the last eight of the BMW Open. That was a tad disappointing though as he was the top seed in Munich. He is ultra-consistent this year with only the Monte Carlo Masters seeing him fail to reach the last eight. In Madrid, he's beaten Borna Coric and Denis Shapovalov. Both wins came in straight sets with only 14 games dropped so far. If he can win this match, it'll set up a quarter-final against either 

Francisco Cerundolo is up a place to 20th in the live rankings but down at 31st in the Live ATP Race. The Argentinian has played more on clay this year than his opponent. He played on the South American clay court tour and after some early exits reached the last four in RIo. After early losses in Houston and Monte Carlo, Cerundolo was a quarter-finalist in Bucharest. So far in Madrid (where he'd never previously got past round two) he's beaten Fabian Marozsan in straight sets but then had to come from behind to beat 15th seed Tommy Paul. This is his first match against Zverev and we go for the German to win this in straight sets.
