British Grand Prix Predictions & Betting tips - Formule 1
by Devesh Jaganath |
Formula 1 returns to the iconic Silverstone circuit on Sunday for the British Grand Prix. Oscar Piastri leads the driver standings with 216 points, 15 points ahead of his teammate Lando Norris in second, while Max Verstappen is third with 155 points. Let’s get into the race prediction.
Max Verstappen will be hoping to shave a few points off the McLaren duo this weekend after clinching pole position for the British Grand Prix during qualifying.
The defending champion recorded a stunning time of 1m 24.892s, finishing 0.103 s ahead of the current leader in the driver standings, Oscar Piastri. The second Papaya driver, Lando Norris, will start in P3.
The Brit had a somewhat poor final qualifying run, unable to improve on his second effort and will be joined by compatriot George Russell in the second row at Silverstone.
Lewis Hamilton had an impressive first session but could not find more thereafter, and had to settle for P5, alongside his Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc. The second Mercedes of Kimi Antonelli claimed P7.
Ollie Bearman had arguably his best qualifying run but suffered a 10-place grid penalty for a red flag infringement, which moved Fernando Alonso into the fourth row. Pierre Gasly and Carlos Sainz round out the top 10.
