Belgian Grand Prix Predictions & Betting tips - Formule 1
by Devesh Jaganath |
After a fortnight’s break, Formula 1 heads to the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps this weekend for the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix. Oscar Piastri leads the driver standings with 234 points, Lando Norris is second with 226 points, and Max Verstappen rounds out the top three with 165 points. Let’s get into the race prediction.
The front row of the Belgian Grand Prix will feature the colours of McLaren on Sunday, with Lando Norris starting the race in pole position thanks to a qualifying lap time of 1m40.562.
The Brit finished 0.085s ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri, who confirmed that an error on Turn 14 of his final qualifying lap likely cost him pole.
Sprint winner Max Verstappen was edged to third place by Charles Leclerc, while arguably the drive of the day came from Alex Albon, who claimed fifth for Williams.
Racing Bulls duo Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson ran almost identical times behind George Russell and Yuki Tsunoda in P6 and P7, respectively, and Sauber’s Gabriel Bortoleto nicked Esteban Ocon for the final top 10 spot.
Lewis Hamilton’s qualifying woes continued on Saturday, as a lap deletion saw him eliminated in Q1 along with Kimi Antonelli. They will start the Belgian Grand Prix in P16 and P18, respectively.
Nico Hulkenberg was involved in a pit lane incident with Lance Stroll and will start in P14.

Our Belgian Grand Prix - Formule 1 prediction
McLaren are the favourites heading into this year’s Belgian Grand Prix, rightfully so, and it would not be a huge surprise to see a Papaya 1 and 2 cross the checkered flag on Sunday.
However, there is rain predicted throughout Sunday as well, and this could make things interesting, especially in midfield. For us, the value could be Nico Hulkenberg, who has been in great shape in recent weeks. He was unlucky to collide with Stroll in qualifying and could provide a handsome return if he can finish in the points. Our Belgian Grand Prix prediction is Nico Hulkenberg points finish.
