Dutch Grand Prix Predictions & Betting tips - Formula 1
by Devesh Jaganath |
Round 15 of an engrossing 2024 Formula 1 season heads to the Zandvoort Circuit for the Dutch Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon! Let’s take a look at what happened in qualifying and discuss our race prediction.
Max Verstappen comes into his home race leading the driver standings with 277 points. In second is Lando Norris on 199 points and Charles Leclerc is currently third with 177.
Signs of Red Bull’s dominance potentially easing became evident again on Saturday, when British driver Lando Norris surged to pole position in qualifying, smashing the time set by hometown hero Max Verstappen.
Norris clinched P1 with an incredible time of 1:09.673s, a full 0.356s faster than the 1:10.029s posted by the Red Bull driver. Oscar Piastri continued his solid form, grabbing P3 with a time of 1:10.172.
Seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton suffered a shock knockout in Q2 after a mistake in the second-to-last corner of the lap. He will start the race down in 12th place and will face a steward’s investigation over whether he was impeded by Sergio Perez.
Perez is provisionally in fifth place behind George Russell’s McLaren, while Charles Leclerc will feature as the first Ferrari on the grid in P6 with teammate Carlos Sainz down in 11th.
Fernando Alonso, Alexander Albon, Lance Stroll and Pierre Gasly round out P7 to P10 respectively.

Our Dutch Grand Prix - Formula 1 prediction
With Lando Norris and Max Verstappen set to line up at the front of the grid for the Dutch Grand Prix, the bookmakers have made the two short-priced favourites to battle for the victory.
Outside of the top two, though, it’s anyone’s race, and we feel that Oscar Piastri, who is enjoying the best spell of his F1 career, is in with an excellent shot of sneaking onto the podium. Our Dutch Grand Prix prediction: Oscar Piastri Top 3!
